My family and I always make a point to be sure and try new experiences every time we go to Disney World. Since we only get to go every other year, we try to pack a lot of fun into our 8 or 9 magical days each time. And since we’re always on a budget, we only get to check out 2 or 3 table service meals each trip. Have you ever noticed that there are multiple vintage mailboxes on Main Street at Disney’s Magic Kingdom? The United States Postal Service has loaned these antique mailboxes to the Walt Disney World Resort and they are real, working mailboxes that cast members empty each and every day. A fun fact – the beautiful cast iron mailboxes (like the one in the photo) were manufactured in Bridgeport, Connecticut in the early 1900s – that’s right around the time our beloved hero Walt Disney was born! I have a piece of advice that always results in a confused look when talking to friends about their Disney vacation plans. When they say “but it’s so expensive,” I ask them how long they’re staying. I often end up suggesting that they stay longer in order to get a better deal.
