Before my first time riding Toy Story Midway Mania in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Was it maybe another target-shooting attraction? Was it a fast-spinning type of ride? Or was it something else? Well, the minute I entered the building (or rather walked up to the entrance), I realized it was all of those things and more, and most of all, it is FUN!
Our experience with this attraction began immediately as we arrived and at once felt like we were the size of toys 
and that feeling continued as we moved through the queue waiting to ride – all the familiar toys and games from our childhood were suddenly right there, the same size as us! Part of the fun of waiting to ride is walking through everything and seeing toys like a bigger than life Barrel of Monkeys – they all bring back so many fun memories!
Toy Story Midway Mania is a 4D ride that is fast moving and fun. Each car has 2 sides with room for 2 guests on each side. Each person will have their own “shooter”, with which you try to hit as many targets as you can in each game that you see throughout the ride (so yes, it IS a target-shooting ride). But be quick, you only have so much time before you are spun around and you’re off to the next game (so yes, it DOES spin – but not a lot).
There are 5 different games to play throughout the ride and depending on the game, you may appear to be shooting darts, hard-boiled eggs, baseballs or flying toss rings. There are “Easter Eggs” along the way and the best way to raise your score is to hit the hardest targets! Can you beat your partner?

Toy Story Midway Mania is appropriate for all ages and heights. However, since the cars do spin at times throughout the ride, you should be free of back pain. Younger kids will enjoy the bright colors and all the colorful toys you see as you move along the track, grown-ups will enjoy reliving their childhood with all of the toys, and everyone will enjoy the chance to score big on this fast-moving and super fun ride!

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
