Exploring Disney: The Beautiful Reflections of China

Epcot’s World Showcase is filled with fascinating – and beautiful – “countries” to visit, and one of the loveliest is China. Whether you need a nice break from the Florida sun and heat – or just want to take some time in a quiet and peaceful place – don’t miss your chance to step into a replica of the Temple of Heaven for a glorious trip into the sights and sounds of China, courtesy of the magic of movies.

As the movie begins, your guide for this trip is Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai, who will take you on a boat ride down the Huangpu River to Shanghai. Shanghai comes alive with the traffic, people and many buildings. Watching the acrobatics of the Peking Opera Company is a very eye opening and tranquil sight to behold.

The beautiful Huangshan mountain range is beyond words and has inspired many poets and painters throughout the years. This mystical area attracts many visitors daily.

China’s unique countryside, landscape and cities are so different from Shanghai to the Gobi Desert, and each provides a fascinating glimpse into this beautiful country.

This continuing playing movie – ‘Reflections of China’ – is for all ages and similar to other Circle-Vision 360 movies, in that you must stand while it is showing, but there are lean rails to help steady yourself. Once the movie is over, take some time to explore the rest of this pavilion – the sights within the Temple of Heaven are definitely worth spending some time exploring.

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
