This newest addition to the Magic Kingdom attractions is quite the exciting ride. Imagine racing through the Seven Dwarfs Mine with all its twists and turns all while riding in an old mine train car that also sways back and forth, side to side!
While similar to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with it’s ride through the mountain, the additional movement of the cars on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train just adds to the excitement and thrill! But don’t worry, even if you’re a coaster non-enthusiast like me, I didn’t find the additional movement to be too much to handle. Unlike Slinky in Hollywood Studios, which is completely outside (and to me looks more like a roller coaster) Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will travel both inside the mine as well as outside, offering different views as well as fun and excitement! You may even spot parts of Fantasyland and Cinderella Castle – but look quick! One of the coolest parts is that you will also get video from parts of your ride along with several pictures taken at different locations (all included in the price of Memory Maker if you purchased it).
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is for guests 38” or taller. If you have a smaller guest with you, be sure to use the Rider Swap, so even the younger ones can enjoy the queue with the bright colors and the interactive jewels along the way. This ride does have Fast Pass available (which is VERY popular so make it one of your first choices when you select your FastPasses). One thing to keep in mind if you don’t have a FastPass – you miss so much in the queue that was interactive when you have that FastPass – the fun activities definitely make the line seem much faster than it was.
One last fun tip – watch out for special notes that Doc left for you along the way!
Find out how the FREE services of a Disney World travel agent can make planning your Disney vacation simple and STRESS FREE!
Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
