If meeting the Disney Princesses is high on your MUST do list, then you MUST go to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot for one of your meals!
Upon entering the medieval castle, you will first meet the beautiful Belle and have your picture made with her, as she doesn’t visit the tables during meals. This picture will appear on your Memory Maker or Photo Pass as a treasured memento of your visit.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving delicious Norwegian and American food. While waiting for the Princesses to make their royal entrance, you can begin your meal with a smorgasbord of yummy items on the cold bar. The menu offers several scrumptious entrees along with a kids menu, so everyone in your party should be able to find something to their liking!
Then the fun and excitement begins as the Princesses make their way into the dining hall to visit each table, sign autographs and pose for pictures with your group. You may get to visit with Snow White (my favorite), Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora and occasionally Mulan and Mary Poppins. While the princesses you see may change, they each spend a nice amount of time with each table and are so sweet and funny and say such adorable things.
Your little Princesses and Princes will enjoy participating in the Princess Processional – marching together through the dining hall for all to see with their favorite Disney Princesses. Be sure and have your cameras ready as you won’t want to miss a second of seeing the joy and wonder on the faces of your little ones (or in my case your “big” ones)!!
Askershus Royal Banquet Hall is a great alternative if you can’t get reservations for Cinderella’s Royal Table. Even better, it is only 1 Table Service Credit on the Disney Dining Plan as opposed to 2 for CRT and you get to see the same Princesses! You will still need to make reservations 180 days before your arrival to ensure you don’t miss out on this awesome dining/character experience. I highly recommend Akershus for getting your Disney Princess fix!!

As Julie says: “I am addicted to all things Disney! 🙂 I grew up in Vernon, TX and now reside in Waller, TX (outside of Houston) on a small ranch with my hubby and all of our animals who we affectionately call “The Zoo Crew”! We have been married almost a year now (together for 7) and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren between the 2 of us. We knew we were meant for each other when we discovered we were both Disney fanatics! 🙂 I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 6 and fell in love with the magic of Disney. Now, my husband and I go to Disney World every 2 years either with friends or with whichever kid and grandkid are available to go at the time. We spend a lot of time planning our trips to ensure that everyone has the most memorable time while there, so that is what I will be writing about and hopefully give you some ideas to try for YOUR next Disney vacation.
