When choosing a favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World, one event to consider is the Food & Wine Festival that runs from late September to mid November. This is my all-time favorite time to go for an all adult trip. Being the more adventurous eater, that I am, I find the festival great for sampling all those foods that I normally don’t get at home. My husband being the not-so-adventurous eater that he is actually finds the Food and Wine Festival a great place to try some things that he may or may not like, but doesn’t have to dish out the expense of a full meal just to try a bite. On select nights during September and October, the Magic Kingdom is transformed into a Halloween fun-fest during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Filled with Trick or Treaters of all ages (yes grown ups can get dressed up too!), special shows, and the Happy Hallowishes fireworks, perhaps the highlight is the “Boo to You” parade. Thrifty Thursday: The Bead Outpost in Epcot
One of my favorite discoveries in Epcot a number of years ago was a small kiosk near the Outpost that sold some very unique jewelry. The jewelry was beautiful……..and extremely affordable.
