Exploring Disney: More Hidden Details and Secrets to Discover on Your Visit

Some say you could spend everyday of a full year in Walt Disney World and finally get to see everything there is to offer. I disagree. Part of the Wonder and magic of Disney is that it is always changing, progressing, and growing. It was Walt’s vision that his magnificent project would never truly be finished. As long as there was imagination in the world, he contended, the parks would never stop changing. Even if there was a halt to the progress, however, I still don’t think a year would be enough to see and do it all, and that’s because of all the amazing little hidden details and secrets tucked throughout the rides and parks just waiting to be discovered. These are rarely shown off, never advertised, but that makes them all the more delightful. A few weeks ago we went on a scavenger hunt together, and today I’ve put together another for you so you can make your next visit to the world full of richer,  more immersive detail.

I LOVE getting a super early start and being one of the first people to greet a park in the morning. (Have you ever heard that blissful welcome message and music?) Read more

Exploring Disney: Once Upon a Christmas Parade

Other than Halloween at Disney World, very few things in life are as wonderful as Christmas in Disney World. I will even relent and say for many families, the holiday season in the World is probably the absolute most magical experience. In a place where the air is already filled with magic and happiness, and wonderful things happen all the time, adding Christmas to it just puts it over the top. There are countless fabulous things to do during the holidays in the World to give you the warmth in your heart, but the centerpiece for many joyful celebrations is the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and within that, is the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Full of sparkles, scents, and snow, you can’t help but get a little jolly watching this parade. Read more
