Thrifty Thursday: Saving More at Disney Than Money

There are plenty of ways to save while in Walt Disney World!  How about saving time and maybe some energy?  It’s frustrating to waste time on a vacation, and waiting in lines is one of the worse uses of your time in Disney.  I want to talk about saving you some time, not to mention a little energy, while in WDW. True Confessions of a Disney Ride Wimp…

This week, it’s Disney confessional time. We all have them: something about Disney that, well, we don’t necessarily share because others ….just…might…not….understand.

Maybe you (gasp!) don’t actually like Dole Whips. Or are not fond of Pirates of the Caribbean. Or perhaps the idea of a Character meal makes you cringe. Whatever yours is, I am encouraging you to come clean this week. Let us all know. It’s ok, really! You’ll feel better by sharing. 🙂 And to help…I’ll start.

I am a Disney Ride-Wimp. Read more

Wordless Wednesday: The Muppets!

If you haven’t already seen it on the big screen, it’s now available to watch at home! Do you enjoy Disney movies? I think it’s a fun way to get a little taste of the Disney fun in between trips!

Find out how the FREE services of a Disney World travel agent can make planning your Disney vacation simple…and for a limited time, get a FREE Disney gift card when you book your trip with me! ($2000 minimum package cost)

Karen grew up in the Boston area and traveled to Disney World many times with her parents and sister. Always staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins gave the trips a feeling of a home away from home. It also started the tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo Review on each trip! Somehow that show sparked her interest in the Disney College Program. Which she did in the fall of 2002, working as a hostess @ Captain Jacks in Downtown Disney. Now as an adult, Karen finds herself traveling to the parks on a yearly basis! Photography has always been a hobby of Karen’s, but over the past few years it has become her passion. It’s even taken her to her favorite place! The Make a Wish Foundation sent a family to Disney for a week and Karen was lucky enough to be their photographer of choice! She got to tag along and photograph their memories being made. She hopes to get that experience again someday! You can find more of Karen’s photography on her site www.KPportraits.com.

What Does a Disney World Travel Agent DO?

One of the most common questions that I get from people is “how can using a Disney travel agent help me?” And I think it’s a fair question, especially from the many folks who have never used a travel agent before. The thing is, there are lots of things I am able to do as a Disney vacation specialist, to help folks with their Disney vacations, whether you are a Disney veteran, or this is your very first trip. With this in mind, since this question is asked so frequently, I thought I would take today’s blog post to re-run an article that I wrote last year.  🙂

Free Planning Help

Probably the biggest myth out there, is that using a travel agent will cost the client more….and frankly, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the services of a Disney World travel agent are free to the vacationer, as travel agents are paid by the company that they book with. So when using a travel agent, the client gets tons of help, Disney expertise and planning knowledge….for free. It’s a win-win situation for the Disney vacationer! Read more

Terrific Tuesdays: Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show

The Lights, Motors, Actions! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a terrific experience.  My family had always by-passed this thinking it wouldn’t be that great and would only take away from our “ride time”.  On our last trip, however, as we were standing in line to get our FastPasses for Toy Story Midway Mania, Castmembers were handing out free Fastpasses to the show.  They were good for any show of the day and would not interfere with any other FastPasses. We decided since this was a leisurely trip and we wanted to try new things, we would give it a whirl. Read more
