Planning Your Disney Itinerary: Magic Kingdom Part 1

My list of must-dos at the Magic Kingdom is incredibly long, and I’m sure that I’m not the only one. Perhaps more than any other park, the Magic Kingdom needs a solid plan, particularly if you only have one day (I would recommend more than one, if you can). Like the other parks, you have a huge advantage if you arrive by rope drop to accomplish busy rides in that first hour. Unlike the other parks, however, it’s less clear where you should head first-thing, because there are so many places you could start! Read more

Terrific Tuesdays: Fantastic Fantasmic!

Fantasmic! is one of my favorite night time fireworks shows at Walt Disney World.  This show is located at the end of Sunset Blvd. in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The 6,900 seat amphitheater is made of metal benches and has two shows a night on select evenings.  Be warned that sitting near the front could get you wet. There are fireworks, water effects, live characters, cannon explosions and balls of fire.  The water effects show scenes from the movie Fantasia on large water curtains.  Characters display scenes from popular Disney movies, like Pocahontas, and show the battle of good vs. evil.   Read more

Planning Your Disney Itinerary: Tips for Epcot

I’m continuing my itinerary tips series with Epcot! Itineraries at Epcot are a little different because you have two distinct areas to visit: Future World and World Showcase. Future World is more ride-heavy whereas World Showcase is more suited for wandering. World Showcase also doesn’t open until 11am, so I like to use the morning to hit the Future World rides and then spend the rest of the day at World Showcase. Read more
