I don’t know what it is about me and fireworks, but there is something about these nighttime shows of light, and music, and noise that just get me every time. I like fireworks in “general”….but nothing beats Disney when it comes to fireworks. And in my honest opinion, once you’ve seen Disney fireworks, you are pretty much spoiled for any other fireworks anywhere else.
I guess you could say that fireworks are truly one of my favorite Disney things. 🙂
We are focusing on our favorite things here at The Affordable Mouse. While I really do love everything at Walt Disney World there are those things that I could not do without on any trip to Disney. You know…those things that even though how small they are you simply need to see, smell, touch or ride them in order to feel fulfilled at Disney.

When asked to write about my favorite thing at Walt Disney World, the answer came very quickly to mind. A lot of us have a favorite attraction, restaurant, park or resort. I can name several attractions that I love more than another and the same with a resort, park or restaurant, but those things don’t even come close to my most favorite thing at the most magical place on earth. When we took our first family trip to Walt Disney World, my youngest child, Josh, was six. Next week, he will be graduating from high school and I have been spending every waking moment reminiscing about how wonderful these years have been. What a blessing it has been to raise him and just simply to have him in my life. He has grown up to be a sweet, caring, funny young man with a wonderful personality and he just happens to be a lot of fun to spend time with at Walt Disney World as well. Read more
You may not believe this, but I am not the stereotypical female. I don’t like talking on the phone, I will not stop to ask for directions until I have exhausted every single option, and I HATE to shop!
When I visit the parks, I am there to ride! I love to ride and I don’t want to waste my time shopping around the stores to find things I could find online or at Downtown Disney on a non-park day. There are only two exceptions to this rule, and both can be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: one is the Writer’s Stop, which is a coffee and book shop that sometimes has celebrity writer signings (this is also a fave of Nancy’s and Kelly’s); and the other is my favorite place of all, AFI Showcase Shop.
