Celebrating Family Reunions…..and Other Reasons to Visit Walt Disney World

I never turn down an opportunity to visit Walt Disney World if it is at all possible.  Because of that I have been fortunate to visit with a variety of friends and family members, including both of my kids and all 4 of my grandchildren.  However, one of my favorite trips was a family reunion with my grandmother, my parents, my son, my step-children and their children, my brother in law and his family and well you get the idea!  This trip happened about 15 years ago and although most of the people in the group I no longer have daily contact with, it is still one of my all time favorite trips that will never be duplicated. Of course we all love food.  So, it wasn’t a surprise to me that we had at least one restaurant on my kids’ top 10 most fun things to do at Walt Disney World.  Number 5 is dining at the Biergarten, which is located in the Germany Pavilion. 

I made our ADR several months ahead of time, and one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant was for my father.  He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War and I have often heard him talk about schnitzel and other famous foods of Germany and how he would love to go back.  I always try to pick at least one restaurant for each member of our party (usually 7 of us). Running With Disney: Less Than a Month to Go!

So my Disney trip countdown says 23 days! 🙂 It’s hard to believe that by the time we actually get to Walt Disney World for our January trip, it will have been 367 days since we left…but who’s counting….. It’s been a crazy year for us, with trips planned and cancelled multiple times, but it looks like this one is actually going to happen!

After our last trip that had so many changes, I must say that I have really learned flexibility when it comes to Disney vacation planning. Which is a good thing, because with less than a month to go….and Christmas thrown in there…..I still have quite a few things to do before we leave! Read more
