Exploring Disney: The “Art” of the Bathrooms
Let’s face it. If there is one place that you and your family will definitely visit on your Walt Disney World vacation, it’s the restroom – or to be precise, the restrooms. So while you’ll probably spend as little time there as possible, you also should take a few minutes to check out the design and details when you do stop by. Because the Disney Imagineers – being the creative geniuses that they are – spent as much time on the detail of the bathrooms as they did every other place in the parks and resorts. So you can absolutely expect each bathroom to be unique, and to reflect the “land” or theme where it is located. Read more
Exploring Disney: Finding Adventure in the Swiss Family Tree House
One of my favorite oldies but goodie attractions is the Swiss Family Tree House. For those of us who remember the movie from 1960, Swiss Family Robinson, the Tree House will especially bring back a lot of memories about how innovative the family was when they were marooned on a deserted island. There you and your family can channel your inner genie and enjoy a ride on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Read more

You know that you and your family dealt with at-home school in all its stressful variations throughout the year. You’ve had to work from home and help your kids learn – often all at the same time.
And you probably cancelled, or at least changed, your family vacation plans from last year.
I mention all of this, not to dwell on all that we went through over the past year, but to point out one very important thing that I bet you will agree with: Your family has earned a vacation “reward” this summer. As things continue to (hopefully) improve, and vaccinations increase, studies show that optimism about travel this summer is skyrocketing, with many folks realizing that it’s time to make up for last year by making some vacation memories this year.
And not only vacation memories but “bucket list” vacation memories. Read more
