Exploring Disney: Enjoying Some Hunny with Your Favorite Pooh

Since we just finished splashing around with Ariel, I thought that today’s exploration should bring us back to dry land while we continue to enjoy the classic stylings of Fantasyland. We’re going to backtrack a little, go back through the gate to Belle’s town, and return to the original stretch of Fantasyland. Though we aren’t visiting an original attraction, it is classic enough to seem like it should have always been there. It also happens to be the very first attraction that my little one chose to ride (and our first after PeopleMover). I present to you…The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Read more

Affordable Disney: Saving Time with FastPasses

Do you remember these? Many years ago, when they were first introduced, FastPasses at Walt Disney World were a big hit. The first generation of FastPasses allowed you to go to the ride of your choice and at any of the kiosks outside of each ride, use your park pass to get a paper FastPass with a specific, assigned time for you to return. Then all you had to do was to come back at the appointed time and with a short wait, you were able to enjoy a popular ride. Read more

Exploring Disney: Fulfilling Mermaid Dreams with Ariel

Now that we’ve made our way down Main Street, we are going to venture further into the rest of the park and see what we can discover. There are many different directions that we can go once we reach the gardens in front of Cinderella Castle, but today we are going go straight through the center and explore Fantasyland (technically New Fantasyland). While you roam through the middle of the castle, be sure to take in the gorgeous mosaic on the wall. Those little tiles were individually hand-set and tell the story of Cinderella. This is also where you’ll find the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Once through the castle you’ll find yourself standing at Prince Charming’s Royal Carousel. From here, head through the turrets that will bring you into the newest section of the Magic Kingdom. The first section you encounter is themed to Beauty and the Beast. Here you’ll find some of the other gems we’ll be exploring soon, including Be Our Guest Restaurant. Today, though, we are going past provincial France and into the world of Eric and Ariel. Find the front of the ship and Ariel’s castle, and you are ready to venture under the sea. Read more

Disney Park Time: The Case for Early Extra Magic Hours

One of the things that I love about Disney vacation planning is that it really is not “one size fits all”. There are as many ways to plan a Disney vacation as there are families, and that is a good thing.

As a travel agent, I tell my clients all the time – whether it’s where to stay, when to go, what to eat, or how to visit – you really need to made decisions based on what is best for YOUR family. Read more

Today we are going to continue our exploration down Main Street U.S.A. with a stop for a treat before we delve into the attractions. This one is not so much for my fellow vegans, but I promise you will love a visit — and you might even find something to nibble on as well. Read more
