One of the many things we discovered on our recent Walt Disney World trip were the new Christmas decorations at Hollywood Studios. Whimsical and very retro, they add a delightful touch of “old Hollywood” to this park. One of my favorite things about the Holiday Season at Walt Disney World is the Festival of Holidays at Epcot. Here along with other entertainment, the Holiday Storytellers will share the customs, traditions and even the food of a number of the World Showcase countries Christmas and Winter holiday celebrations. Visiting the Walt Disney World resorts to see all the decorations is one of the best ways to get into the Holiday spirit: beautiful, imaginative, and amazing, if you are visiting during the Holiday Season, you owe it to yourself to take some time for some resort hopping. One of my favorites is the Animal Kingdom Lodge where the huge Christmas Tree in the lobby includes beautiful and fascinating ornaments from many African countries – and provides some great inspiration for your own tree at home! One of the most fun parts of the Christmas parade at the Magic Kingdom is the famous marching toy soldiers. Before Christmas week, you will only be able to see them at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but from December 22 to December 30, the parade – and these wonderful soldiers – are highlighted every afternoon and are a must see! Disney has finished up the seasonal decorating all is now ready to ring in the Holidays! Without a doubt, the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian is truly one of the most magnificent Christmas decorations at Disney…or anywhere else for that matter. Hand created, it is breathtaking.
