Disney with Special Needs: Holidays at Disney Prep – Part Three

So when do you start packing for your Disney vacation? Not five months out? Oh. Well, that’s where we differ. I kind of don’t ever unpack from Disney. Not that I have suitcases shoved full of dirty vacation clothes that I just toss into the back of the car when we leave. We bring along laundry detergent and wash clothes before heading home and there are a few items that we don’t take out of our suitcases because they are for-Disney-only. Leaving them in the car makes me feel like I’m never too far away from another trip. Of course when it’s a special trip, like one over THE HOLIDAYS, even the real packing has to get a boost and start early. I haven’t gone full-on roll-the-underwear-and-tuck-the-socks yet, but I’ve been adding to my Disney stash and I wanted to give you a glimpse of the extra things I’m planning to bring along with me for this trip. There is a lot to see and do in Animal Kingdom these days with the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar, but while visiting this beautiful park, keep in an eye out for the “entertainment” too! Summer is looming outside and while everyone else is prancing around thinking about the beach, shorts, and splashing around in the pool, my mind is firmly stuck at the end of fall. Like I might have turned up the air conditioning, burned a caramel candle, and eaten a sweet potato the other day. Wordless Wednesday: Main Street Trolley

Most people when arriving at Magic Kingdom, stop to take pictures of the castle and then start walking to their first destination. But why not take a few minutes and take the trolley up Main Street instead? While they usually run mostly in the morning (before the park gets too crowded), the horse-drawn Trolley is a super fun way to experience Main Street the way Walt Disney did in his home town….and feel like a bit of a celebrity while doing it.
