Have you ever had an event happen where you are concerned about something trivial that doesn’t even matter??  For example, I was in a car accident recently and had to have my car towed. I wasn’t even sure if it would be repairable or if that would be the last time I was in my car.  And as the wrecker was getting into position to haul away my car, I was out there trying to scrape off my Disney Vacation Club sticker, pull off my Annual Passholder magnet, and make sure I had my Cinderella Castle antenna topper that hangs around my rearview mirror.  My husband, on the other hand, was taking the blankets, clothes, and the snow scraper out of my car. A Disney Day in Chicago

 For most people, the ideals of the holiday season center on spending time with friends and family.  My husband and I found a way to incorporate Disney magic into a day trip with our extended family to downtown Chicago.  Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry currently has an exhibit titled “D23 Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives” which runs through May 4.  We were also lucky enough to go while they also had their “Christmas of the World and Holiday of Lights” display which includes a 45 foot tree with Mickey flair.  Read more

Using the Disability Access Service and FastPass Plus

 We just returned from an eventful trip to Walt Disney World using all sorts of new technology/systems and lucky for you I’m here to report on it.  My husband and I traveled with my mother-in-law and multiple disabilities special needs brother-in-law to Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani Village.   Honestly, we were not thrilled to find out that they were changing the Guest Assistance Program, AND that we were to be testing the Fastpass + system on our trip, but it actually worked out for us!  Read more
