Thrifty Thursday: Bringing Some of the Magic With You

My family really enjoys having a good time. The last thing we would want to be called is ‘party poopers.’ For parties where we are invited to dress up but the invite says you don’t have to, we always dress. To us, that makes everything more fun.

When vacationing at Disney, it makes everything even more magical if you take some of the magic with you. One of the ways we got right into the cruise spirit before our recent Disney cruise was to prepare decorations for our stateroom door.

It is recommended that you use only decorations you can tape up with regular tape or magnet decorations. I chose the magnet type and they were super easy to make. I just went to the DisBoards and downloaded the pic of the santa hat to fit right around our stateroom door sign. Next, I found other pics online that I was able to personalize and save. Once I was ready, I printed the designs onto 8 1/2 X 11 magnet sheets for my printer and then cut them out. As soon as we goton on-board, we decorated our door together!

Decorating your door is one of the really fun ways to bring some of the Disney magic with you. Whether it is your stateroom door or your resort room door it is a festive thing to have, and it helps to find your room easier also.

The best thing about it is that it is a fun activity to do with your kids to get them into the excitement of trip planning as well. Happy Creating!!!
