Wordless Wednesday: And That’s a Wrap…

photo (9)The announcement this past weekend that Disney will be bringing a brand new attraction featuring Mickey Mouse to Hollywood Studios was met with excitement by many who are eager to see the mouse that “started it all” have his own ride. Until it was shared that the last remaining attraction from the original “Disney-MGM Studios” – The Great Movie Ride- would be closing for good in just a few weeks in order to make room for Mickey’s new ride. Change is good but change is hard, and we will all miss taking this very special ride through the movies. Sadly, as they say in the movies, it looks like “that’s a wrap” for The Great Movie Ride. Wordless Wednesday: An Icon for Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

photo (1)Now that the giant Sorcerer’s Hat has been removed as the focal point of Hollywood Studios, and the older more traditional “Earful Tower” is leaving as well, there has been a lot of discussion about what the new “icon” for Hollywood Studios will be! After all, Magic Kingdom has a Castle, Epcot has Spaceship Earth and Animal Kingdom has the Tree of Life….so will the Great Movie Ride become the new symbol of Hollywood Studios? Or is something else, still unknown, on the way? Guess we will have to wait and see!

The Great Movie Ride Dinner at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: The Experience

EditorLast week, my friend, Lisa Battista, author of Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers shared Part One of her recent experiences at a very special event. This weeks she concludes her delicious review.
