Favorite Universal Orlando Table-Service Restaurants

13498112_10154198511157488_8340153942170986162_oWhile Universal Orlando Resort offers many counter-service options for guests, there are also choices for table-service meals available both in the parks and on CityWalk. Here are a few of our favorites!

One of Universal Orlando’s most popular table-service restaurants is Mythos in Islands of Adventure. The restaurant is inside a rocky grotto overlooking the lake at the center of the park. The interior is gorgeous, with rocky formations, sculptures, and trickling streams all around. The menu features both American and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Because this is a popular spot, I recommend getting a reservation ahead of time. Note that Mythos is sometimes only open for lunch.

Over at Universal Studios, guests can try Finnegan’s Bar and Grill for a casual sit-down meal. The restaurant is located in the New York area of the park and features Irish pub-style dishes and drinks. The restaurant also sometimes offers live music.

While there aren’t many table-service options inside the parks, if you want more choice, you can always take a short stroll over to CityWalk. There are lots of choices here to suit all tastes. If you’re looking for a casual sit-down spot, Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville serves a Caribbean/Florida combination the restaurant calls “Floribbean” cuisine. It’s also a popular nighttime spot with three bars and outdoor seating.

Another favorite of ours is Antojitos, a Mexican restaurant serving street-food inspired dishes. The interior is colorful and unique, the food is delicious, and there’s also live music and entertainment on most nights.

Possibly our favorite restaurant on CityWalk is Cowfish, which is a great place to go if you have a group with different tastes or want something out of the ordinary. Cowfish specializes in both burgers and sushi, and also offer their own signature combination of both called “burgushi”. The décor is quirky and fun, and both their burgers and sushi are excellent.
