While we enjoy a sit down meal once in awhile on our visits to Walt Disney World, on most days counter service is our choice throughout the parks. One of our favorites is baseball ball themed Casey’s Corner, located in Magic Kingdom toward the end of Main Street.
We love hot dogs and they have all types; Chicago style, Chili Cheese, Barbecue and Corn Dog nuggets. There is something for everyone! Of course, there is the old stand-by a hot dog meal with apple slaw or French fries. This lets you dress your dog up with catsup, mustard, relish, onions, jalapenos and melted cheese at topping bar.
The Chicago Style hot dog is topped with tomato slices, dill pickles, Chicago-style relish and banana pepper. This is a great combination and the banana peppers had great flavor, but weren’t overwhelming with heat. And the Chili Cheese hot dog is an all time favorite topped with chili and cheese. My favorite is the Barbeque Slaw Dog, which seems to be a real southern treat. This hot dog is topped with pulled pork, cole slaw and barbeque sauce. All of these specialty hot dogs cost at least $8, but if you are in the mood for just a snack, there are Corn Dog Nuggets at $5.49. These little dogs are great for sharing.
You’ll also find the basics at Casey’s Corner such as nachos, fries, cotton candy, brownies and soft drinks or water. They also have cracker jacks, which is so appropriate for a baseball themed area!
