Karen grew up in the Boston area and traveled to Disney World many times with her parents and sister. Always staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins gave the trips a feeling of a home away from home. It also started the tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo Review on each trip! Somehow that show sparked her interest in the Disney College Program. Which she did in the fall of 2002, working as a hostess @ Captain Jacks in Downtown Disney. Now as an adult, Karen finds herself traveling to the parks on a yearly basis! Photography has always been a hobby of Karen’s, but over the past few years it has become her passion. It’s even taken her to her favorite place! The Make a Wish Foundation sent a family to Disney for a week and Karen was lucky enough to be their photographer of choice! She got to tag along and photograph their memories being made. She hopes to get that experience again someday! You can find more of Karen’s photography on her site www.KPportraits.com.

I never pass up a photo-op at Cinderella’s Castle!
Always get a picture of us at the Castle!
I love Cinderella castle! I’m also a huge sucker for a picture with Everest in the background.
We try to schedule a early morning breakfast in the Magic Kingdom so that we can get a photo of the castle without to many other friends around!!!
My favorite photo op at Walt Disney World is definitely in front of Cinderella’s Castle at night during the Christmas season (the ice castle)!
My favorite is in front of the castle, of course!!
But I also like the spot right when you walk into the park gate. It’s so pretty!
We always need the photo from the top of the train station looking down Main Street USA with the castle in the background. Also, one from the Castle going back up Main Street USA with the train station in the background.
The castle of course second favorite the tree of life
I have never been to Disney before but I would have to say in front of Cinderella’s castle and also in front of Walt and Mickey. And also any picture with Mickey. 🙂
One of our favorite photo ops is with the characters. We get a 6×6 or so sized Disney scrapbook before we leave and take out the pocket pages and put in blank scrapbook paper. The character signs one page and then when we get back, the picture of us with the character goes on the facing page. Every character gets their own spread. We use a big Sharpie in a color that goes with the character, they love getting a big space to sign in and the fat markers are easy for them to hold.
I always have to get a picture with the Main Mouse himself!!!!
At Christmas a must do photo is one with Santa and Mrs. Clause in America at the World Showcase in Epcot!
My favorite photo ops are the ones with characters…the unposed ones…sometimes you get really awesome pictures of characters doing silly things…those are the best moments…you look back and say…I remember what we talked about
That’s so hard to answer! Character photo-ops are great, the castle is breathtaking, BUT I think my favorite shot is in front of the fountains in Epcot OR of any of the big trees during the holiday season =)
In front of the castle or with characters 🙂
I love having an early am res in MK. If you make it for before the park opens, you have an awesome chance of getting a shot of the castle with no one in it!
I have been going to WDW a minimum of once a year since the park opened and have more pictures of my family (parents, brothers, kids, etc) with the characters. Love taking photos of the characters, they are what brings the cartoons to life! Best pic was when my (now 23 year old) son was 2 1/2 and he kissed Dale right on his nose.
So many great places to get pictures at Disney, but a trip is not complete without a castle shot.
Obviously, one of my favorite spots for a photo opportunity is in front of Cinderella Castle. I also love getting photos of Spaceship Earth in EPCOT, especially at night…beautiful!
We always take a picture of the kids (we have 4!) holding hands in front of Walt and Mickey in front of Cinderella’s castle!
My family LOVES bring out our “inner rockstar” and take a picture in front of the HUGE guitar at Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
I love Taking pictures at Epcot . By Spaceship Earth . in each country , especially France . At the character greets.
Food pictures of course of delicious delicacies like schoolbread and French Pastry. The best pic is anything with a character , and the monorail . I also adore Its a small world, pirates and Haunted mansion .
Please enter my name in the mickey purse give-away!!!
One of my favorite photo ops is of The Tree of Life in AK. Takes my breath away
My favorite photo op is in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Thanks.
Our family tradition is to always get a photo with either the Indian statue on Main street or over in Frontierland. We have a pic from every trip. Its a great way to see hoe the kids have grown and changed year to year. We have 5 generations worth of pics with him.
I love to get a picture at EPCOT with both Spaceship Earth and the monorail.
I love pics in EPCOT with different World Showcase in the background.
First Disney Trip this October – so enjoying seeing all the photo op ideas. Thanks!
My family and I always had to get a group photo in front of the Totem Poles in Adventureland. Its also a great way to see how much we’ve grown 🙂
I always want a picture of the castle at night
I always have to get a picture of the statue of Walt holding Mickey’s hand in front of the Cinderella’s Castle.
Every year, I get a picture of my son and daughter on the speeder bike in MGM…oops, Hollywood Studios. When the bike was being refurbished,, I got their pics in the space where it should have been! It is funny to see my kids growing up on the speeder bike!
My favorite shot is in front of the castle. What an iconic place to take that family picture!
I always get some great pics of my two Grandsons (ages 9 & 6) on Tom Sawyer Island.
Definitely in front of the castle
Any photo opp with Donald Duck can not be passed up. My favorite picture from one of our trips was when we got Mickey Ice Cream bars and sandwiches and had our picture taken with the ice cream in front of Cinderella Castle.
Always love Cinderella’s castle as well as the large mickey hat at Hollywood. That is whereour first honeymoon picture was taken!
The castle of course! But there are also some great, lesser-known photo ops at some of the resorts around Magic Kingdom. I took some of myself and my daughter around the resorts earlier in the month, and there is some gorgeous scenery!
You HAVE TO get the family picture infront of Cinderella’s Castle! We also always get our family picture in front of each of the park icons and of course Mickey!!! Each trip we also come up with a “theme” of something to take pictures of such as light fixtures, trash cans, attraction signs, ect. at each land and park!
The tree in Animal Kingdom is my favorite
Cinderella’s Castle… it IS Disney World to me!!
Cinderellas castle is iconic of course but i think my favorite pic from our last trip was taken in front of Mt Everestt! it makes such a cool backdrop! give me 125 days and i will tell you my new favorite spot to take pics! lol
anytime I’m at the parks I always get my picture taken with Chip and Dale! Some times i’ll even see them more than once! haha they’re my absolute favorites! 🙂
Ater the castle, we like pictures at sorcerers hat in Hollywood studios. I would love to do Christmas photos with Mickey!
*after
My favorite thing to do is take a picture of Cinderella Castle right after I see it for the first time. It becomes the first picture in the scrapbook for the trip. It reminds me of the beginning of my magical vacation! <3
In front of the Sorcerer’s Hat in DHS.
In front of the castle – no question! 🙂
At every park my family loves to take a picture in front of each big “symbol”. We always have to have a picture in front of the castle, the tree of life, the hat at Hollywood Studios, and the Ball at Epcot! 🙂
Definitely a family photo in front of Cinderella’s Castle!
