Epcot is one of my favorite places on property for a meal—there are just so many choices! And, as I learned this week, there are many, many opportunities to save a couple of bucks on your main meal.
Quiche Lorraine
The Expensive Version
At Chefs de France, you get a slice of ham and cheese quiche with a small side salad for $12.95.
The Less-Expensive Version
Around the corner at Boulangerie Patisserie, you can get a slice of the same quiche without the salad for $4.95.
Potential Savings: $8
Miso Soup
The Expensive Version
At the new Katsura Grill, a bowl of warm soybean soup costs $3.28.
The Less-Expensive Version
Inside Teppen Edo, your bowl of miso costs only $3.00
Potential Savings: $0.28
Chicken Caesar Salad
The Expensive Version
At fan-favorite Sunshine Seasons, their version of the classic salad will set you back $8.59.
The Less-Expensive Version
Across the Plaza, you can get the same salad for only $7.79 at Electric Umbrella. (But you have to go into the Electric Umbrella, so the jury’s still out on this savings.)
Potential Savings: $0.80
Hot Ham and Cheese
The Expensive Version
At Chefs de France, you can order a croque monsieur et sa salade verte for $13.95. (In American English, that’s toasted ham and cheese with a green salad.)
The Less-Expensive Version
Around the corner at Boulangerie Patisserie, you can get a hot Ham and Cheese without the salad for $5.25.
Potential Savings: $8.70
Vegetarian Stir-Fry
The Expensive Version
At Nine Dragons in the China Pavilion, you can get a vegetable and tofu stir-fry for $15.98.
The Less-Expensive Version
At China’s counter service spot, Lotus Blossom Café, a vegetable stir-fry with steamed rice is only $8.49.
Potential Savings: $7.49
Fish and Chips
The Expensive Version
At the Rose and Crown in the UK Pavilion, you can get a serving of fish and chips for $16.99.
The Less-Expensive Version
At lunch time, get the same plate at the same place for only $15.99.
The Least-Expensive Version
Next door at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop, two strips of fish with chips will set you back only $8.19.
