We’ve done some snacking in Magic Kingdom and in Epcot’s World Showcase so far, now let’s turn to Future World. My family loves to eat, some of our best Disney memories are around a Disney dining table, or sitting down with a snack and watching people have a magical vacation. Snacks can add up in Walt Disney World so we try to pick the most frugal of snacks while in the parks.
Future World brings excitement to my heart, I think of Test Track (re-opening in December, right before we arrive!), Mission Space, Soarin’ and Spaceship Earth!! There are so many cool parts of Future World! One of my favorite parts is Club Cool. Club Cool is a Coca-Cola hidden gem, just past Spaceship Earth in Innoventions West. We love Club Cool because you can taste Coke samples from all around the world. For free. Did you hear that? For F.R.E.E!!! Granted, you can only fill a tiny cup each time, but you can taste unlimited amounts of the flavors!! It’s a great way to not only cool down, but to quench your thirst. The flavors are China/Watermelon, Israel/Lemon, Thailand/Lychee, Japan/Vegitabeta (like a V8 soda), Costa Rica/Fanta Kolita (fruity), Germany/Mezzo Mix (fizzy!), Italy/Beverly (like an Italian fizzante), and Mozambique/Ginger Ale. Fill up your tiny cups and pick your favorite! There is also a cool Coca-Cola gift shop in here! This is a really fun experience at Epcot, and the fact that you can taste for free is just awesome.
Fountainview Cafe is close by Club Cool and offers some affordable ice cream choices. You can get a single scoop (with flavors to choose!) for $3.59 or in a waffle cone for $3.99. For about a $1 more you can turn that ice cream into a sundae or a float with Coke or Root beer.
There are snack carts located throughout Future World. We usually see them in or around the alley ways of either Innoventions. They are strategically placed so that you can find them! These carts carry all the popular items such as Mickey’s ice cream bar for $3.50, popcorn for $3.25, pretzels for $4.00 and a yummy frozen banana (why are they so much better frozen? Not to mention the ones dip in chocolate!) for $3.50. You can also find your fruit here, like apples/oranges/bananas for $1.29. Dave loves the cinnamon roasted almonds which cost about $3.50 and I’m a huge fan of the strawberry frozen lemonade, also for $3.50.
Lastly, the only other place to find your snacks is in Sunshine Seasons which is in the Land. There are more healthy options here like the oatmeal for for $2.79 to which you can add raisins and brown sugar if that suits your fancy. You can score a small side salad for about $2.39, carrots for $1.29, a fruit cup for $3.39 or a yogurt for $2.69. We hardly ever pick the “healthy” things but every now and then on a WDW vacay we’ll get to the point where we think, “I need something with nutrition!” All the dessert type snacks here are under $4.00 and include things like cookies, rice krispie treats (yum!), cupcakes, s’mores brownie, and a fave…Mickey Moon Pies. Enjoy with a $2.19 cup of coffee and that will hold you over until your next meal! Happy Frugal Snacking!

Tina works full time as a school counselor in an elementary school. She lives close to Baltimore, MD with her husband Dave and her 13 year old stepdaughter, Ashley. They also have a furry family member, a cat name Frodo, that keeps life interesting in their house! Tina began visiting Disney World as a child with her family, and now her, Dave & Ashley take a trip to the World every year. She considers herself a Disney “fanatic” and once her family is finished one trip, she is already planning their next one. Tina loves to find the best deals, even in the busy seasons (she can only go when schools are off!) and loves sharing those deals & tips with anyone and everyone! What Tina loves most is the magic of WDW, it makes her feel like a kid again. She hopes that every family has the opportunity go to the World and experience the magic for themselves because it has a way of reminding its visitors that dreams do indeed come true! Read more of Tina’s work on her blog A Not So Bland Life, where she writes about home decor, cooking, couponing, traveling, and and of course, Disney!

I love Club Cool! I didn’t discover it until my 3rd or 4th trip to Disney, but now I go every time. A lot of people don’t seem to know about it, but it’s free so it’s awesome! My favorite is the Costa Rica one 🙂
