The Lights, Motors, Actions! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a terrific experience. My family had always by-passed this thinking it wouldn’t be that great and would only take away from our “ride time”. On our last trip, however, as we were standing in line to get our FastPasses for Toy Story Midway Mania, Castmembers were handing out free Fastpasses to the show. They were good for any show of the day and would not interfere with any other FastPasses. We decided since this was a leisurely trip and we wanted to try new things, we would give it a whirl.
As you are waiting for the show to begin, trivia questions are displayed on the huge TV monitor. The show consists of jet skis, robbers and fire, loud explosions and car chases. It is to show the viewers how action scenes are made in the movies. The show is action packed and fun for the whole family. The stunt men perform daring acts of jumping off tall buildings and racing at high rates of speed.
The cars used in the show have license plates that depict the initials and dates of birth of the Imagineers that helped create the show. They are specially designed and modified vehicles that have motorcycle engines with four forward and four reverse gears. This allows the drivers to stop, reverse and forward quickly to avoid collisions.
We were also surprised with the guest star appearance of Lightening McQueen, the star of Cars. The show lasts approximately 35 minutes. The arena consists of metal bleachers and has handicapped seating available. The FastPass option is available for this attraction and all ages are welcome.

Shannan is a mom that was born and raised in rural Tennessee. She tells us: “I live with my husband and 3 of our 5 children. Travis is 24 and is father to my grandbabies, Emma and baby Judson. I can’t wait to start sharing Disney with them. Dusty is 22, Clay 12, Zachary 10 and Erin is 8. I clean houses to make money to fund my magical trips. I went to Disney the first time as a teen and couldn’t wait to start introducing my own children to the magic. We took our 3 youngest in 2004 and that started it all. We have been 3 times since then and have our first Christmas trip planned for this December. Usually my parents accompany us on the trip and I have to research and plan for things that will suit various ages in our party of 7. Each time I go, I try new experiences in lodging and dining so I can share it with friends and family that seek my advice on trip planning! Disney is definitely my first choice in vacation destinations. Hopefully there is a Disney surf and turf vacation in our future!“
