After spending a weekend with our grand kids, I was starting to get concerned about our upcoming trip to Walt Disney World. Being 4 and 11, they get bored easily, especially when they aren’t with their friends or their “things”. Trust me – I was really sweating what would happen.
I started looking through pictures of the Disney parks and discovered there are so many things to see and do, I really don’t see them getting bored. Not only will they be able to see and ride so many things, along the way from one ride to another, Walt Disney World has all kinds of fun street entertainers. Plus, many of the attraction queues are full of fun and interactive things to occupy everyone.
In EPCOT, which at first glance, can seem like an adult place more than a kid-friendly park, there are many singers, dancers, music and many things in each pavilion to occupy youngsters. Magic Kingdom features the “Citizens of Main Street” who are always happy to chat. Hollywood Studios has a number of folks that are always looking for “the next big star”. And you’ll even find street performers in Animal Kingdom as well!
While I don’t think they will be bored, I guess when all else fails, there is the always present smart-phone to help! I think I’ll have them check wait times on the My Disney Experience app. 🙂
