Walt Disney World is a magical place! After being an annual pass holder for several years, I have been interested in how they create the magic behind the scenes. I decided to book one of the many tours offered at Walt Disney World.
Disney’s Keys to the Kingdom Tour is a 5 hour in depth look at The Magic Kingdom. During this walking tour you get an insiders look at the backstage magic. You are told some hidden secrets about some of the attractions at Magic Kingdom. The tour guide shares little known facts about the park also. Our tour guide had several stories and trivia questions that were quite interesting.
Disney pays attention to detail in everything they do. There may be some details that you passed by without giving a thought to. Or you may not have even noticed certain little things that are pointed out to you. Lunch is also included during your tour.
The utilidors are explored during this tour. The utilitdors are a tunnel system located below the Magic Kingdom. Many guests wander around the park and have no idea cast members are below them creating the magic.
There are a few things to know before you take this tour. Everyone in your party must be at least 16 years old. Nearly the entire tour is walking or standing, be prepared for this when you choose your footwear. It’s a bummer, but there is no photography or recording during the duration of the tour. If you book the tour prior to park opening, you get a unique look at Main Street nearly empty.

Denise has loved Disney as far back as she can remember. She has two teenage girls who were raised with Disney. Their rooms were decorated, and their closets were filled with Disney articles. Her daughter tags along when she can, without missing too much school. Her oldest daughter (20) doesn’t make it to Florida much anymore, but hopes to again very soon. Denise’s first trip to Walt Disney World was for her birthday in 2009. She fell more in love with the magic of Disney that day! Ever since then, Denise and her kids have been annual passholders. Last spring she upgraded to a premier pass to include Disneyland. Over spring break her youngest daughter had the pleasure of her first visit to Disneyland. With Denise helping them plan, her brother and his family enjoyed their first family trip to Disneyland at that same time.
