As you enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios you used to see the larger-than-life Sorcerer Mickey’s hat. That is now gone and once again you can see a full scale reproduction of Grauman’s Chinese Theater with The Great Movie Ride inside!
While I enjoyed seeing Sorcerer’s Mickey’s hat, seeing the Chinese Theater is much more exciting to me! I enjoy seeing all the different handprints and foot prints in the cement out from along with some bronze bust of some of the greatest actors and actresses in our time.
Inside the Grauman’s Chinese Theater be prepared to “be in the movies” on the Great Movie Ride as you ride through such scenes such as Alien, Casablanca, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Tarzan the Ape Man and The Wizard of Oz. I dare you to not sing along as you see Gene Kelly “Singing in the Rain” or along with Mary and Bert atop the roof tops in Mary Poppins!
I have heard many people comment this ride is getting dated, but to me, taking a leisurely ride and reminiscing about the Great Movies of the past is a must do on my trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
