On our recent trip, we decided we wanted to visit Trader Sam’s Grotto, which just opened at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. After we arrived at Trader Sam’s Grotto however, we found there was an hour wait and even then a seat was not guaranteed.
So, after looking around we found Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace, just behind the Grotto. It is outside and has a few sitting and standing tables – seating is for less than 90. But it is a favorite of ours now. You can order the same drinks and food as in the Grotto, but you overlook the water and it is a great place to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks! The music is piped in for the fireworks, but a word of caution – the railing view fills up!
Over all, we loved it. The Hawaiian guitar player and running water fall was awesome! We are so glad we found the Tiki Terrace!
