We started reserving character meals years ago when my children were small. To keep costs down, we only incorporated one or two into our trips. One of the best things about receiving the free dining promotion for the past couple of years has been the opportunity to dine at many more character meals. I wanted to share a pictorial review of one of our favorites — Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner in the 1900 Park Fare. Read more

Thrifty Thursday: A DiVine Sight
The live entertainment at the Disney parks is so unique and unparalleled as far as I am concerned. My family and I experienced one of the best examples of this once at the Animal Kingdom. We were on our way to our favorite ride at the park, Expedition Everest, when all of a sudden my husband started scrambling for the camera. He said, “Oh my gosh, look at that!.” Read more
Thrifty Thursday: Smarter Than Your Average Phone
There is pretty much nothing I hate more than getting that horrible text message notice that someone on my family plan has gone over our data plan. How does that even happen?!
One thing I know for sure: I won’t be wasting my data in Disney World anymore! Disney World offers free wireless Internet access in all of its theme parks, all resort rooms and public spaces, and all feature pools and bus stops.
And it’s super easy to access:
Just select the Disney Guest network, accept the terms of use and you’re in business. Easy peasey.
Don’t expect super high speeds or anything super special. But it is wi-fi, and it is free. And it is a great way to keep your phone bill under control as you refresh the Lines App or access the Magical Meals e-book from your Dropbox account.
Have you used the free Disney wi-fi? Let us know about your experience in the comments below.

Tuesday Disney Tips: Monorail Rundown
The monorail system at Disney World opened with the original complex on October 1, 1971. It is one of the best, and certainly most fun, methods of transportation at Walt Disney World. In fact, it is my favorite mode of transportation. Once you are familiar with how the monorail system works, I hope it will fast become one of your favorites too. Read more
Tuesday Disney Tips: Monorail Mania Meal
Each year, I try to incorporate new activities into our trips to replace the special things we did when they were younger. One of the new favorite activities I began doing a few years ago is the “Monorail Mania Meal.” Being from an Italian family, most of our best visiting has often ensued in the kitchen around a meal, so I guess it is no stretch of the imagination that I began this tradition in the same way.
