One of the many things that Disney does well, in my opinion, is helping their guests forget that they are waiting in line. While no one really wants to wait in line, when the queue is so much fun as it is for Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios….waiting in line kind of becomes part of the attraction. No one really likes waiting in lines, but when it comes to visiting the Disney parks, it’s a given that you will wait in lines, likely many of them during your vacation. Always looking to add to the Guest experience, Disney has over the past few years, found a way to make that waiting fun. “Play while you wait”…..seriously, what a great concept! Take the wait for Dumbo now: there is an entire room where kids can play while waiting their turn to ride! The only problem now is getting them to leave the play are so that they can ride!

I love how Disney is upgrading their ride lines. Remember how fun it was to walk into the line of Space Mountain to realize they had added the interactive gaming? It doesn’t solve the annoyance of waiting in a 120+ minute line, but it sure does ease the blow! The last thing we want after spending our hard earned dollars to be in WDW is to be bored waiting to ride an attraction. While we, as adults, can handle it with some dignity…the younger set of our parties may or may not appreciate it;)
