I come from a family where Christmas means 3-5 decorated trees, loads of twinkle lights, both on the inside and outside of the house, and as much holiday cheer as one can imagine. Oh and the gifts were always awesome and neatly wrapped under the tree. So my love of holiday decorations is pretty much embedded in my DNA. We saw Magic Kingdom last weekend which was pretty. Disney is a place for celebration, from celebrating being on vacation to holidays. Disney wants you to celebrate anything and everything, and make it a magical celebration. I personally love holidays, especially down in Disney. I’m not just talking about Halloween, Christmas, Fourth of July, or any of those. During the holiday season, it is easy to find loads of FREE things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort. No one decorates on the level of Disney anywhere else and you are totally immersed in the spirit of holiday cheer. One prime example of decorating in Disney style is the Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
This is a must-see for my family during every trip. We have had our Christmas cards taken in front of this magnificent house and we, in fact, take a family picture in front of it during every visit. The aroma is awesome; even for someone who doesn’t like the taste of gingerbread the scent screams holiday magic. It is a beautiful, and completely edible, masterpiece. Read more
In just four short months something super spectacular is going to happen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The 2011-2012 run of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will begin and will bring joy to thousands of people this year. If you have never experienced Walt Disney World at Thanksgiving/Christmastime, let me encourage you to be a part of the celebration this year. The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights will be running from November 10, 2011 through January 3, 2012.
