Other than Halloween at Disney World, very few things in life are as wonderful as Christmas in Disney World. I will even relent and say for many families, the holiday season in the World is probably the absolute most magical experience. In a place where the air is already filled with magic and happiness, and wonderful things happen all the time, adding Christmas to it just puts it over the top. There are countless fabulous things to do during the holidays in the World to give you the warmth in your heart, but the centerpiece for many joyful celebrations is the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and within that, is the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. The parades of Disney World are fairly legendary as it is, and there is something truly spectacular about the special holiday parade. One of my favorite things about Walt Disney World is the incredible attention to detail, and when it comes to holiday decorating, Disney detailing is on overdrive! Most of us who love Walt Disney World are of the opinion that any time is a great time to visit, but at the same time, most of us also have a favorite time to go. For me, it is definitely the Christmas season! While I love Disney year round, when it comes to magic, for me nothing beats the magic that is the holidays at Disney. One of the many things we discovered on our recent Walt Disney World trip were the new Christmas decorations at Hollywood Studios. Whimsical and very retro, they add a delightful touch of “old Hollywood” to this park. And while they couldn’t be more different from the much-missed Osborne Lights, to be honest, they totally “fit” Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I just loved them! Read more
