One of the newest additions to Hollywood Studios pays tribute to the mouse that started it all! Located in the renovated Chinese Theater, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a one of a kind. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of those surprise parks. While it doesn’t seem like a lot, the more you explore, the more you find and pretty soon you find yourself immersed in Hollywood’s golden era of the movies. Things are constantly changing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The most recent is the upcoming removal of Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. I had grown to love that, but soon the Great Movie Ride Theater will be more noticeable as you enter the park. Read more

Thank you for welcoming me to The Affordable Mouse, I’m so excited to be writing for Terrific Tuesday’s! I wasn’t sure what to do for my first entry but my son, Ethan, who is twelve, insisted on me writing about the Hollywood Tower of Terror. I remember going on this ride for the first time when I was at Disney’s MGM Studios (now Hollywood Studio’s) when I was 15 years old in 1995. It quickly passed up Space Mountain and became my favorite ride. Read more
There is a great family attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and that is Toy Story Midway Mania! Wildly popular since its opening, it is still the ride to make a mad dash to upon park opening as the wait can often climb to an hour and a half and Fastpasses are usually completely gone by noon.
