Mouse Morsels
Tidbits of Disney News just for you
Hey there, Hi there, Ho there…Welcome back to Mouse Morsels!! Wow…I can’t believe February has already come and gone!! I hope your Valentine’s Day was wonderful and special. It seems there have been some much loved attractions that have come to an end at Disney World since the beginning of the year!!
The Candy Artist…Mujuki…who made detailed animals out of molten candy at the Japanese Pavilion in Epcot is no longer performing her amazing craft. And The Ziti Sisters, who entertained crowds with their songs, dances and audience participation at Epcot’s Italian Pavilion ended their run on February 22nd. Over in Tomorrowland, Push, the Talking Trashcan is gone as well!! He entertained children and adults alike with his silly shenanigans and will be greatly missed. As of now, there is no word if any of them will be returning at a later date…but we can always keep our fingers crossed!!
Although we are sad about losing some of our regulars at Disney World…there are some NEW characters that have been a HIT among the crowds…Anna and Elsa from FROZEN!!! Their Meet and Greets at the Norway Pavilion will continue daily from 9-6…but you had better get in line early…I hear the wait time is L-O-N-G…but well worth it!!
The walls have come down little by little to reveal even more of The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride opening in the Spring in New Fantasyland. I don’t know about you…but I can’t WAIT to ride this new attraction!! The detail looks amazing…waterfalls, minecars that swing and sway, diamonds and jewels along the trail…Hi Ho, Hi Ho…it’s off to work we go…it will be like we are actually in the mines with our favorite characters…The Seven Dwarfs!! SO EXCITING!!
Epcot’s 21st International Flower and Garden Festival begins March 5 and runs through May 18th! If you’ve never been, you need to make plans to attend this spectacular event!! You will see MAGICAL topiary displays of some of your favorite Disney characters, as well as seasonal plants and flowers. There will be outdoor kitchens around The World Showcase where you can sample delicious foods and beverages from the different countries. With famous musical groups and TV celebrities galore…this is one Festival you won’t want to miss!!
Disney World’s much anticipated new Festival of Fantasy Parade…Main Street’s afternoon parade…will debut on Sunday, March 9th!! With fantastic new floats, beautiful costumes, music and characters from your favorite Disney movies…I have a feeling this parade will become a family favorite!!
As always…there are lots of exciting things to look forward to on your next trip to Disney World! Until next time…have a MAGICAL weekend and sweet Disney dreams!

As Julie says: “I am addicted to all things Disney! 🙂 I grew up in Vernon, TX and now reside in Waller, TX (outside of Houston) on a small ranch with my hubby and all of our animals who we affectionately call “The Zoo Crew”! We have been married almost a year now (together for 7) and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren between the 2 of us. We knew we were meant for each other when we discovered we were both Disney fanatics! 🙂 I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 6 and fell in love with the magic of Disney. Now, my husband and I go to Disney World every 2 years either with friends or with whichever kid and grandkid are available to go at the time. We spend a lot of time planning our trips to ensure that everyone has the most memorable time while there, so that is what I will be writing about and hopefully give you some ideas to try for YOUR next Disney vacation. I am very excited to be a part of The Affordable Mouse team!”
