Happy New Year Disney Friends!! Hope your holidays were MAGICAL!! As always, there are lots of new and exciting things happening at Disney World…which is what keeps all of us coming back over and over again…I don’t want to miss any of it, how about you? It’s all I can do to keep from planning my next trip…but since it’s not until June of 2015…I’ll have to restrain myself a little while longer!
A new table service restaurant is now open in Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion…Spice Road Table!! Built along the edge of the World Showcase Lagoon…both it’s indoor and outdoor dining rooms provide a great view of the IllumiNations fireworks show! Serving delicious Mediterranean food and drinks in a beautiful Moroccon setting, it sounds like a definite must-do! For now, this restaurant is NOT on the Disney Dining Plan and does not take reservations…but who knows what the future will bring!
Over in Animal Kingdom…ground has been broken for the new AVATAR project which will open in 2017!! It sounds very exciting as they are planning to build awesome rides…you will be able to fly with the banshees and take a walk through a night time jungle with interactive plants! With this new addition of Pandora… Animal Kingdom will become a full-day park! How awesome will THAT be!!
At Magic Kingdom…the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade came down Main Street for the last time on January 4th to make way for the new Festival of Fantasy Parade which will begin this Spring. So for now, there will not be an afternoon parade. But you can still enjoy the Main Street Electrical Parade at night and the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It dance parties that take place throughout the day! From the pictures I’ve seen of the floats…the NEW parade looks pretty fantastic!!
