Kids grow up fast, and as the saying goes, “you only have about 18 summers to make vacation memories with them”. First of all, tweens and teens each get their own dedicated hang-out space where they can come and go as they please. For ages 11-14, Edge provides a cool retreat with plenty to do, from video games and computer stations, to karaoke machines, music listening stations, and comfy couches for hanging out. Throughout the day tweens can chill on their own, or participate in group activities like creating their own comedy show, trivia contests, making their own pizza, and ship-wide treasure hunts.
For ages 15-17, Vibe is an adult-free haven for teens to have fun and chill out together. There are plenty of things to do from video games to movies on multiple flat-screen TVs to music listening stations, and even a smoothie bar (additional fees apply). Vibe also has its own group activities like making their own zombie film, or participating in ship-wide scavenger hunts. On the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream, Vibe also has its own outdoor deck space with loungers and splash pools.
There’s also plenty of other activities for teens to enjoy throughout the ship, and one of the highlights for thrill-seeking teens is the Aquadunk on the Disney Magic, a thrilling drop slide that sends guests through a loop-de-loop 20 feet over the side of the ship.
If you’re on a Caribbean or Bahamian cruise, there are also great teens-only activities and spaces for your teens to enjoy. Teens can lounge in their own dedicated space at the Teen Hideout, or for some extra adventure, participate in a teens-only shore excursion that includes biking around the island, a speedboat ride, and snorkeling.
If your teen also needs some relaxation time, all of Disney Cruise Line’s ships offer the Chill Spa, a spa exclusively for ages 13-17. Teens can relax with a massage, enjoy a facial, get a manicure or pedicure, or try the delicious-sounding Hot Chocolate Wrap.
