Fun And Free (or Almost Free) Disney Souvenirs

You will find them in stores at the end of each ride, at multiple places throughout the park, kiosks as you enter and exit the parks, at all the resorts, including some specialty stores for even the pickiest of customers.

If you are anything like me you have a cabinet full of Disney coffee cups, boxes of pins, an abundance of misc toys, stuffed characters, scarves, t-shirt, blankets, etc sitting around everywhere in your house. For anyone who is a Disney fan, having some of our favorite Disney things around gives us a sense of being in the most Magical Place on Earth! However, since Walt Disney can be pricey, bringing home a car full of souvenirs gets expensive in a hurry!

On a previous trip my son decided that wearing hats from each county, or place he visited and taking a picture would be better to bring home instead of trying to purchase hats and adding to his stack hanging on my wall. Over the years, he has brought home Mickey ears, Goofy’s ears and several others from the countries around World Showcase.

One year, I brought home every plastic wine glass and some of the plastic ware, as we ate and drank our way around the world at the Food and Wine Festival. We won’t discuss how much that was, but it did fill my back-pack and to this day, I still have some in the cabinet!

What about those famous popcorn buckets! Does anyone have those in their cabinet or on the counter to hold stuff? What about your Disney bags from the stores?

Personally, I think taking pictures at each ride, in front of the stores, walking into the park, by the hotel or in the room are some of the most inexpensive souvenirs you can bring home. It doesn’t take a fancy camera or video camera, but simply a phone. Using these pictures as wallpaper or contact photos, it is a great way to bring back those precious moments throughout the year or until your next visit to the most Magical Place on Earth!

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
