Disney Cruise Line offers plenty of opportunities for families to have fun together while also offering individual fun for kids and parents – and there are so many things for kids to enjoy on Disney Cruise Line! Here’s what kids can look forward to on a Disney Cruise.
First of all, kids age 3-12 can play all day in their own dedicated space in the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, Disney Cruise Line’s drop-off youth clubs. The clubs are led by trained counselors and offer fun themed environments from Toy Story to Marvel superheroes, along with fun guided activities, crafts, character encounters, and more. The youth clubs are included with your cruise fare, as well!
Kids will also love playing the day away in the ship’s pools (specific offerings vary by ship). They’ll be able to enjoy splashing through the whimsical Nemo’s Reef, getting soaked in the Aqualab, and enjoying pools and waterslides made just for them. On select ships, kids will also love the Aquaduck, a water coaster that circles the ship’s pool deck (children must be 42” to ride).
Throughout the day kids can also meet their favorite Disney character throughout the ship. Favorites include a variety of Disney Princesses, classic characters such as Peter Pan, and of course Mickey and friends, who are often dressed up for special occasions such as a tropical stop at Disney’s Castaway Cay, or the popular Pirate Night offered on many sailings.
For something extra special, guests can also schedule a fairytale princess makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, or opt for a knight or captain makeover. On Pirate Night, kids can also get a swashbuckling makeover. Additional fees apply and reservations are highly recommended.
