Trying the different restaurants in Epcot is an exciting and fun adventure while at Disney World. Eating around The World, trying new and different food and drink is a great way to enjoy your dining experience while there. On a recent trip, we decided to try authentic German food and made reservations at Biergarten Restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our time there!!
Decorated like a traditional Bavarian village, when you enter Biergarten, you are immediately transported to the middle of an Oktoberfest celebration complete with an oompah band onstage playing lively German songs. You are encouraged to get on the dance floor in front of the stage and polka to your hearts content – the little ones were having an awesome time!! The seating surrounding the stage is at communal, biergarten-style tables, so be prepared to meet your neighbors and make new friends!!
With a family style buffet filled with scrumptious dish after dish – mouthwatering entrees from German sausages to meatballs, bratwurst to roasted pork, beef rouladen to pork schnitzel – we ate to our hearts content!! Appetizers included different salads: beet, macaroni, tomato, cabbage, potato, wurst and seasonal and they were ALL delicious!! If you are 21 and above, there is also a wonderful selection of German beer and wines to choose from as well!! When we thought we couldn’t hold anymore, we saw the dessert buffet and thought why not, we are on vacation, right? Oh my goodness, the desserts were to die for – with Bavarian cheesecake, apple strudel, black forest cake, vanilla pudding, fresh fruits – we had to have a taste of each one. After feasting until we could feast no more, we visited with our dining neighbors and let our stomachs settle!
You will DEFINITELY want to come hungry for lunch or dinner to Biergarten!! We have added it to our “favorites” list and will definitely be back again!!
