I normally focus these articles on how to make your trip to Disney World with young children even more spectacular, but I have to admit that I am a bit distracted and taking this post off track. I promise to get right back to it next month but guys!? I got my Mother’s Day gift about a month late and I’m swooning over here.
Everyone else may be flipping out over Pandora – The World of Avatar now open in Animal Kingdom, but this Disney mom to two little ones is currently more excited about the Disney Parks (jewelry) Collection by Pandora. I first saw the adorable bracelets and charms on various Disney fan pages on social media and then started stalking the Pandora and Disney Store websites. I dropped a few hints and was gifted a sweet hand-written certificate good for a bracelet and 3 charms on Mother’s Day. We finally got around to going to the Pandora store at our local mall where I got to see and touch the products in person.
It was love at first sight and I lucked into great timing because they were having a fantastic sale. The charms are sterling silver and truly feel like high quality pieces of jewelry. Less than a half hour after going into the store, I was walking out wearing a huge grin along with the pretty bracelet pictured above. In my online window-shopping, I’ve discovered that the Parks have their own special collections, accessible at various locations around WDW as well as online. The special Parks Collection items are not available in Pandora stores, but there were more than enough to choose from that were available both from Pandora and Disney sites. The same items I purchased at 50% off from Pandora were not on sale on the Disney site so make sure you shop around for the best price.
I’ve got my eye on a few charms to buy as souvenirs during our upcoming trip, and I doubt they will come with any discount other that what I’m entitled to as a Disney Visa cardmember (did you know Disney Visa cardmembers get 10% off of purchases over $50 in the parks?). Oh, and maybe a new bracelet too – they look so cute layered together. The new Fantasyland collection available in the parks features Dumbo, the carousel, and Alice in a teacup. My kids had fun looking at and helping me pick out my charms; hopefully we can do the same at Walt Disney World in a couple months. There are so many adorable options – check them out and you’ll be addicted to them like I am! I can’t wait to watch my collection grow.

Candice was raised in east Tennessee. While in college, her best friend dragged her to a Walt Disney World College Program recruiting session at the University of Tennessee and the rest is Disney history. In the Fall of 1999, Candice became a quick service food hostess for Sunset Ranch Market and Fantasmic at Disney-MGM Studios – or what is now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While soaking up her time as a cast member, she met Ryan, a neighbor and a fellow college programmer who worked as a custodial host at Epcot. Four years later, Candice moved to the Midwest and married that boy from across the hall. They now live in Greenwood, Indiana with their two little boys. The Disney-loving foursome took their first family trip to The Happiest Place on Earth in 2013 and Candice is eagerly planning their return. Candice also works full-time at a community mental health center and enjoys taking photographs and blogging at Mommy in the Midwest.
