Walt Disney World has so many quick service locations, that it would take forever to actually name them all. And the variety of food available ranges from chicken nuggets to lamb shawarma in Morocco. (But don’t worry, even the most exotic quick service locations have nuggets and hamburgers for the youngest members of your party.)
Many people think that the food at Walt Disney World is similar to most amusement parks – and nothing could be further from the truth! While, yes, you can find hot dogs, hamburgers, nuggets, fries and your normal American cuisine, you can also find food from all over the world – you just have to decide on what you want! Below are just a few favorites.
Magic Kingdom
- Columbia Harbour House – This out of the way spot in Liberty Square features New England clam chowder, fish and shrimp platter, lobster rolls as well as grilled salmon, salad and many other American style meals. The secret for this quick service location is the upstairs where you can find some quiet and peaceful seating.
- Friar’s Nook – This QS location can be a little hard to find in Fantasyland. It is tucked away across from the walkway to Be Our Guest and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Our favorite is the fiesta macaroni and cheese and the brats. The loaded buffalo tater tots are also a hit.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- ABC Commissary – this is a very large quick service location and you can find fish and shrimp, BBQ ribs, angus burger in addition to a vegan burger! We had the fish, shrimp and chicken platter which was plenty for 2 adults and a child!
- Woody’s Lunch Box – This is a new QS location in Toy Story Land. I have seen some of the food coming from here and it looks amazing, like the smoked turkey sandwich. My son and his wife recently tried the BBQ brisket melt along with an Adult Lemonade and they highly recommended it for unusual, but yet familiar food. (Editor’s note: the grilled cheese and tomato soup is to die for!)
Animal Kingdom
- Flame Tree BBQ – You will have no trouble finding this quick service location – just follow the smell – that delicious smoked flavor engulfs you as you walk by! Our favorites are the baked macaroni & cheese with pulled pork and ribs, as well as the chicken and pulled pork platter. My favorite feature here is the totally out of the way seating around the back right next to the river. It is very shady and cool in the hot Florida sun!
- Satu’li Canteen – This one is new for us. You will find it close to Flight of Passage in Pandora. This is also the one place I seek out a dessert, which those who know me, know that dessert is something I never try to find. Be sure and get the blueberry cream cheese mouse! It is SO good, creamy and very decadent! My son and his wife recently had the slow roasted sliced grilled beef bowl, which my son claimed was AWESOME! And he can be a food snob so using that word tells me it was definitely worth getting! For the Satu’li Bowls, choose your protein, base and sauce, so this gives you a chance to really customize your meal!
EPCOT
- Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles – This is technically a pastry shop, but they also have salads, soups and sandwiches. My favorite is the croissant jambon fromage – translated it is croissant with ham, cheese and bechamel (white sauce). The denti BLT is also one of my favorites. This restaurant is open for breakfast even though the rest of World Showcase is not open.
- Lotus Blossom Cafe – Here you can find shrimp fried rice, egg rolls, pot stickers, all of which I have tried and recommend. The beef noodles are also excellent.
- La Cantina de San Angel – The tacos de pollo are very good and plenty to share. As are the nachos, which would be more familiar to most people.
As you can see there are so many Quick Service places to eat, I feel quite certain you will find something to your liking regardless of what park you are in. Do you have some favorites Quick Service Locations?

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
