Have you ever had an event happen where you are concerned about something trivial that doesn’t even matter?? For example, I was in a car accident recently and had to have my car towed. I wasn’t even sure if it would be repairable or if that would be the last time I was in my car. And as the wrecker was getting into position to haul away my car, I was out there trying to scrape off my Disney Vacation Club sticker, pull off my Annual Passholder magnet, and make sure I had my Cinderella Castle antenna topper that hangs around my rearview mirror. My husband, on the other hand, was taking the blankets, clothes, and the snow scraper out of my car.
It got me thinking of all the different ways we Disney folks decorate our vehicles to show our love of all things Mickey related. I enjoy seeing the sticker people that are on vehicle windows to represent the Disney family. But with it being Disney, you can always have Tinkerbell or Mickey as your preferred icon! The suggestive slogans are always fun to remind you of a favorite ride- “My other car is a Doombuggy” and “My other car is a Monorail” are two that come to mind. My husband has Darth Vader wearing Mickey ears and holding a churro on the window of his truck that I bought him on a recent trip.
I’ve seen people with license plate frames which I wanted for the longest time, but I just couldn’t find one I liked. But I think the various antenna toppers with Mickey ears have to be the most popular. They are available for sale in all of the gift shops in WDW, online, and at Disney Stores. There are ears for all seasons, representing pirates, princesses, and sports. Unfortunately, the ears don’t fit around my car’s special antenna for XM radio.
My husband and I love pointing out vehicles with “Mickey Ears” wherever we travel, including around home. In fact, I’m sure we’ve been in close proximity to some fellow Disneyites in our little corner of Indiana. And speaking of traveling, I’m on my way to Walt Disney World right now (or at least I will be after I finish work)! Have a Magical day!
