The most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching. You can see the signs of it surfacing on every shopping corner, as stores present finely decorated trees that seem to almost beckon you inside, and in those television ads leaning toward that “gotta have” toy for the kiddos, that fabulous piece of jewelry for her, or just the right power tool for him. As my dear ole Daddy used to sing to me when I was just a little girl, “CHRISTMAS TIME’S A-COMIN’”! So what’s on your Christmas wish list? Sit back, sip some hot cocoa, turn on the Christmas music, and I’ll tell you a few things that are on mine, with a twist of Disney, of course………
First of all, Christmas to me wouldn’t be Christmas if I wasn’t baking away in the kitchen. I love to prepare homemade goodies for those I love, and I even have some folks around home that hire me out to do their baking, to take some of the work off them, so this apron is a must-have for me. Mickey in the kitchen with me just brings a smile.
Next, I am a creature of habit. One of our traditions in the Welch house is everyone must have new pajamas for Christmas morning gift opening, so I’m adding these to the list as well. The Disney Store offers pajamas for all ages, and even goes a step further (as Disney is so prone to do), by offering personalization (just in case you want to do Christmas card pictures in these – hey, I’ve seen it done!). I’m a shoe and handbag kinda gal, so it stands to reason I am dreaming of a Dooney Christmas. My husband has already been forwarded this link before it’s posted here for you, trust me.
Being a Disney fan AND a Johnny Depp fan, it’s no surprise that the newest Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides DVD (also available in Blu-ray) has to be under my tree this year. It just wouldn’t be proper to own 1, 2 and 3, and leave 4 out. Now, why is all the rum gone? Oh wait, wrong story………
One of the things I love to do when I’m not writing about Disney, is travel to Disney. Well, why not travel in style – Disney style, that is? With this piece, you’re guaranteed to be able to locate your luggage quickly on that conveyor belt, and no one need inquire your destination.
Speaking of which, maybe I can persuade Santa to bring me this gift a little early, since I am also receiving a trip to Walt Disney World for Christmas this year. In my many trips to WDW, I’ve never seen or experienced it at Christmas – this is a first for me. I’m so excited, I can hardly wait! The lights, the smells, the sounds of the season, as WDW is dressed up in its holiday finest…..now how many days are left on that countdown?!? If you’d like to add that to YOUR Christmas list, one of our travel agents can play ‘Santa’s elf’ and help you with that!
So think about what you’ll be adding to your list. I really don’t mind if you steal a few of my ideas, and have your Christmas – Disney Style, too!
Ears to ya, DeAnna

DeAnna, along with her husband and teen-age son, lives in Wiggins, Mississippi, and has a passion for all things Disney. She is always eager to share the knowledge she has gained from her many trips to Walt Disney World, and has helped numerous people in their vacation planning to realize it’s not an unattainable dream. Her must-dos on every trip are Pirates of the Caribbean, Rockin’ Roller Coaster & a stolen moment of quiet with her “Boyz” (as she affectionately calls them) having a pastry from Boulangerie in Epcot World Showcase’s France. Disney is so much a part of her life, that she & her husband were married in front of Cinderella’s Castle, and she says it doesn’t get any more magical than that………
DeAnna, I want everything on ‘your’ list except the Dooney bag, I have a different one on my wish list!
Can I just say I love that you live in a town called Wiggins!
Merry Early Christmas.
Hope Santa brings you all you desire! Merry Early Christmas to you, as well.
