Greetings Disney Friends! Hope you have had a wonderful week! It’s time for your weekly Disney info-session….your favorite time of the week, right? 🙂 Rachel has found some great blog posts for you this week, about all sorts of interesting and helpful Disney “stuff”. I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I did! So, let’s get started! Take it away Rachel!
Art of Animation, a new value resort will open on May 31, 2012. It is near the Pop Century and will have rates comparable to the All Star resorts.  Learn more at Disney Parks Blog.
Strollers are a necessity at Disney if you have small children. (Some older children like a ride now and then too!) Here’s a helpful article from Tips From the Disney Diva on how to decide if you need one and where to get it. (I recommend ThemeParkStrollers.com, they are great!)
On our last trip we were guilty of skipping reservations….the downside to planning your meals in advance is having to plan around them. Now, if you do not cancel before 24 hours before your reservation, you will be charged $10 per person at some of the most popular restaurants. Chip and Co. has the details.
I’ve seen many packing lists for the parks, but this is the first I’ve seen for Disney Cruise Line, courtesy of Chip and Co!
Last Sunday Tomorrowland visitors were evacuated due to a fire on the Astro Orbiter. The ride remains closed, according to Your Highway in the Sky.
Disney CEO Bob Iger announced he will be resigning in 2015. His credits include purchasing Pixar and Marvel and making them part of the Disney family, as well as adding two more ships to the DCL fleet and expanding DVC to Hawaii. Your Highway in the Sky shares more.
If you are taking a Disney cruise, or thinking about one, effective October 20 staterooms on some ships will be categorized differently. Some will now have gone up in price, or down in price. Prices are protected until the 20th. Â Learn more at WDW Magic.
That’s it for this week! Have a magical weekend! 🙂

Rachel is a Virginia native who now lives in Louisiana. She is married with two children, ages 5 and 3. After dreaming and wishing for several years, her family had their very first Disney vacations this year and are now addicted to researching and planning—whether for themselves or for others. They now plan to visit the parks at least once a year.
