Disney with Kids: Magical Mail

Have you ever noticed that there are multiple vintage mailboxes on Main Street at Disney’s Magic Kingdom? The United States Postal Service has loaned these antique mailboxes to the Walt Disney World Resort and they are real, working mailboxes that cast members empty each and every day.  A fun fact – the beautiful cast iron mailboxes (like the one in the photo) were manufactured in Bridgeport, Connecticut in the early 1900s – that’s right around the time our beloved hero Walt Disney was born! Exploring Disney: Getting Creative with Your Christmas Goodies

Halloween was two days ago (hope you had a blast!) which means it is now Christmas. That’s just kind of how it works. We get a few precious weeks of pumpkins, skeletons, bats, and ghouls, and then just like Cinderella’s magic spell, at midnight it all changes. Only this time, the pumpkin goes away rather than coming back. Wake up the next morning and everything is jingle bells and bright red hats and goodwill toward men. Read more
