Thrifty Thursday: Your Best, Free Souvenir

Pins are awesome. That adorable Elliott over there on the right is one of my all-time favorite Disney things. He shows off my particular brand of Disney insanity and makes me happy when I’m feeling down. 

But I’m not much of a pin collector, really, because they’re so darn expensive. That Elliott? He cost me something like $8. Which is really quite an investment, when you consider the fact that I could have a Mickey bar and a bottle of water for that price.  Read more

Thrifty Thursday: Start Your Engines!

Start your engines!

I love how Disney is upgrading their ride lines. Remember how fun it was to walk into the line of Space Mountain to realize they had added the interactive gaming? It doesn’t solve the annoyance of waiting in a 120+ minute line, but it sure does ease the blow! The last thing we want after spending our hard earned dollars to be in WDW is to be bored waiting to ride an attraction. While we, as adults, can handle it with some dignity…the younger set of our parties may or may not appreciate it;)

Everyone wants tickets to the Wishes Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. What could be better? Awesome desserts, a great view and Tinkerbell flies right over your seat.

It’s kind of magical. But, at $20-30 for an adult ticket, it’s also kind of expensive.

Thrifty Thursday: Affordable Snacks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Last but certainly not least, we need to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios to experience their tasty but cheapy snacks!  Hollywood Studios is just plain FUN.  Lots of shows, a few of my absolute favorite rides (ahem…Rock n Roll and Toy Story!) and while we are running back and forth through the park we work up quite an appetite.  This park is quite small, and while they have a handful of the snack kiosks around the park like all other parks, there aren’t as many snack choices here.  Read more
