Thrifty Thursday: Groceries 411

Garden Grocer is a grocery delivery service in Orlando. It’s a genius idea for a company if you ask me. You order your groceries online before you leave for your Disney trip, and schedule delivery for the day you get there or the next morning, depending on your time. They give you a two hour window and deliver right to your resort! One of the best parts? You don’t even have to be there yet! Your resort will accept delivery for you and will let you know your groceries have arrived:) Read more

Thrifty Thursday: Style Swag

Almost no one ever ever ever looks good at Disney.

Pull on some jean shorts. A Mickey tee-shirt. Some very comfy shoes. And don’t forget the heat-defying ponytail. And don’t even think about anything more than a light moisturizer unless you want your face to melt off before lunch.

But it is still possible to give your look some extra Disney piazza … totally FREE of charge! Here are just a few places and ways you can plus your Disney look on the cheap:

Leis at the Polynesian Resort: Just walk right into the lobby and take one of these super fun, super bright fashion accessories and suddenly you’re on island time. Aloha!  Read more

Thrifty Thursday: A DiVine Sight

The live entertainment at the Disney parks is so unique and unparalleled as far as I am concerned. My family and I experienced one of the best examples of this once at the Animal Kingdom. We were on our way to our favorite ride at the park, Expedition Everest, when all of a sudden my husband started scrambling for the camera. He said, “Oh my gosh, look at that!.” Read more

Fun and Food on the Boardwalk

Continuing my review of Disney’s Boardwalk……Now that you’ve settled into your room, it is time to get some food and drink.  Well, there are quite a few options on the Boardwalk and in the resort.  The Boardwalk has two sides- Villas and Inn.  The Villas are for Disney Vacation Club (DVC), the Inn for cash guests.  On the Inn side, there is a small bar (Belle Vue Lounge) that is open in the evenings, but when we were there it was serving coffee, hot chocolate and some light snacks/breakfast.  Read more

Thrifty Thursday: Smarter Than Your Average Phone

There is pretty much nothing I hate more than getting that horrible text message notice that someone on my family plan has gone over our data plan. How does that even happen?!

One thing I know for sure: I won’t be wasting my data in Disney World anymore! Disney World offers free wireless Internet access in all of its theme parks, all resort rooms and public spaces, and all feature pools and bus stops.

And it’s super easy to access:

Just select the Disney Guest network, accept the terms of use and you’re in business. Easy peasey.

Don’t expect super high speeds or anything super special. But it is wi-fi, and it is free. And it is a great way to keep your phone bill under control as you refresh the Lines App or access the Magical Meals e-book from your Dropbox account.

Have you used the free Disney wi-fi? Let us know about your experience in the comments below.
