Often times when we think of Disney we think about the rides, entertainment, and parks. What some of us don’t realize is that there is so much more to Disney that doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the rides or the parks. Disney has properties in several different places with a water slide as the one any only attraction. Disney is full of magic day in and day out. As a Cast Member I loved being a part of the magic for the guests. But there is some magic that the guests just cannot experience, magic that only the Cast Members get to witness. As much as I loved working with guests during park hours, some of my favorite times at work were park opening and park closing. When I began my training to work at Walt Disney World I started by learning the typical things: safety, proper attire, and the actual working of the attractions. But that wasn’t the only thing that I had to learn. Working at Disney you have to learn their terminology. If you’ve been to Disney World and spoken to the Cast Members, or read the signs around the park then you’ll understand what I mean. Disney won’t ignore you, or only simply say hey. The Cast Members are playing a part and they have their own scripts. You are the Guest and the Cast Members are putting on a show just for you. Read more
