With the holidays over and Valentines Day having past, many of you may have been asked the question that changes everything: Will you marry me? I know I was one of them! Being newly engaged is an exciting time. Thinking about the wedding planning, picking up wedding magazines, and all the food and colors. Wedding planning consists of a lot but a main part is location. Now depending on who you are, some girls dream of that Cinderella Castle as the backdrop of their wedding. Who wouldn’t want a Disney wedding after all? Believe it or not, Disney has multiple options out there for everyone to fit all sorts of wedding dreams.
East Coast, West Coast, or out on the open seas, Disney can work with your wedding budget and dreams. Depending on what you’re looking for from them Disney can make even the most extreme dreams come true. You can make your day as Disney as you want or have Disney just as a backdrop depending on your vision. The best thing to do is to have an idea of your budget before getting started. From there let your wildest dreams become realities.
Disney offers weddings and receptions together or separate all across their different locations. You could have your ceremony in Epcot and reception at Hollywood Studios in the afternoon. Maybe you would rather enjoy a ceremony at one of the many Walt Disney World resorts and then enjoy a nighttime reception at Epcot to watch Illuminations from your own private viewing area. There is also the wedding pavilion if you would like a more traditional setting for your ceremony. Disney not only offers wedding in Florida at Walt Disney World but also in Disneyland in California both in the parks or at one of their resorts.
Now as a different option that doesn’t always come to mind, Disney offers weddings on their Disney Cruise ships and private island Castaway Cay. Believe it or not the weddings with the Disney cruises are sometimes more financially feasible than the ones in Disney World or Disneyland. Although on the cruises they do not offer your typical reception they still offer cake and champagne.
There are so many different options to choose from that going through and looking at all the options are half the fun! On the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings website you can take a look through all they have to offer as well as their starting prices for the different packages. Going through the site and looking is fun, but knowing your budget so that you can make a more realistic plan is even better. Until next time my wonderful prince and princesses, have faith and trust, and may any of your wedding planning be showered in pixie dust!

Jess was born and raised on Long Island, New York but once college began so did her adventures. She’s lived in Florida, Wisconsin, and now South Carolina. Her family is part of the Disney Vacation Club and has been visiting since she was a little girl, and continuously goes every year. Besides being a big Disney fan she has also been a Disney Cast Member working in Magic Kingdom, and she counts it as one of the most magical experiences. She worked with everyone’s favorite elephant Dumbo, Cinderella’s Carousel, and Mickey’s Philharmagic. Jess has also visited Disneyland, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and gone on two Disney Cruises. She has so many great memories from Disney besides running half marathons and 5ks, birthday parties, and family reunions. If asked where she would want to go it is almost always Disney, and when asked why, it is almost always because she can eat awesome gluten free food! And it doesn’t hurt that there is always faith, trust, and pixie dust with magic in the air!
