Early Admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a great benefit for seeing the best of the Wizarding World on your vacation. Early Admission is available to guests staying at one of Universal Orlando Resort’s on-site hotels. It allows guests to enter one hour before the general public in order to enjoy the Wizarding World.
One of the best things about using Early Admission is getting access to two of Universal Orlando’s most popular rides – Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts in Diagon Alley, and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in Hogsmeade. These rides can have very long lines during the day. While both do offer single rider lines, the queues in these rides are fantastic for Harry Potter fans, so you’ll want time to go through the regular queue. Whichever park you’re visiting for Early Admission, one of these rides should be your first stop.
In Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure side), Early Admission is also a good time to hit the area’s other two rides, Flight of the Hippogriff and and the new Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. While Flight of the Hippogriff doesn’t typically build the same kind of lines as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, it can be easier to visit this during Early Admission at busier times of year. And it can be reasonably assumed that the new Hagrid ride WILL have long lines, so will definitely be worth visiting during Early Admission if available.
Harry Potter fans also won’t want to miss Ollivander’s Wand Shop. It is, of course, an actual shop where guests can buy wands, but it also hosts a wonderful little show. A guest chosen from the audience gets to try out wands in order to find their perfect match. There are Ollivander’s locations in both sections of the Wizarding World, and the line in Hogsmeade tends to be the longest. If you want to get your wand and start trying out spells as soon as possible, you can head here during Early Admission.
The Hogwarts Express is another great Wizarding World experience to visit before regular guests start arriving. With this ride, though, keep in mind that it only runs throughout Early Admission when both parks offer Early Admission, which is not always the case. If only one park offers Early Admission, the Hogwarts Express will start running shortly before both parks are officially open.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a fantastic place to visit, whether you are a fan of the books and movies or just love a highly themed area and great attractions. Having the ability to visit this area an hour before non-resort guests is a tremendous benefit and definitely is a perk for staying at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel!
